If you think that followers' complaints in the heat of the battle are boring and distracting, try this.

Prevents your followers' friendly-fire moaning, but only in combat.

It doesn't replace the 'Companion's Insight' ability, followers will still take damage from your hits. 

In short, it's not a cheat, only aural relief.
