Jokes aside, this mod simply allows you, if you use Wintersun (obviously) and worship Hermaeus Mora, to craft blank eldricht pages from two identical eldricht pages and then turn those blank pages into eldricht pages of your choice (If you wonder how it works, it's quite simple. That's why I won't bother explaining it to you. No, that's not at all because I'm lazy.)

Why use a ratio of 2-to-1 pages?

For balancing purposes, if I used 1-to-1 ratio, you could basically get a huge bonus to your spells and a giant boost to favor as soon as you get 8 pages of any kind. With a ratio of 2 to 1, you're instead supposed to recycle pages that are useless (ie: from tomes that you already read).

Wouldn't it have been more flexible to make a recipe  that convert one eldricht to blank page and then two blank to one eldricht page?

I think, like all words related to the Lovecraftian Mythos, it's more of an approximation of how the words sounds to human ears, than a correct writing. For example, Cthulhu can also be named Ctulhtu, or even Kutulu. I assume the same goes for "Eldricht".
