Description:

This mod adds a partially-standalone female Redguard follower: Farah Ibn Shaihalud. Her face is custom sculpted with NifSkope. Farah DOES NOT come with a custom body mesh or texture: she will use whatever you have installed as a default. This means she will look slightly different from the screenshots, it also means whether you use UNP, CBBE or anything else, she will fit in those clothes/armors and blend in with the rest of your followers.

Backstory:

A loyal soldier to the Empire, Farah served with distinction during the great war against the Aldmeri Dominion. When Hammerfell formally seceded from the Empire, Farah was one of many "invalids" that were "left behind" by the Legion. Farah continued her fight against the Thalmor now under the banner of an independent Hammerfell. 

Near the end of the war Farah's column was ambushed and she was taken prisoner. She was forced to watch her unit be tortured and executed, knowing her own time was coming soon. But the war ended, and she was returned, scarred inside and out. 

With civil war brewing in Skyrim Farah left her homeland to support the Empire, believing it the best way to counter the looming threat of the Dominion. It was only after arriving in Skyrim that she learned a particular Thalmor agent had been transferred to Skyrim, one that she had a debt to repay with a sword.

Class: Imperial Guard (Favors One Handed weapons, decent with a bow and shield, equally proficient with light and heavy armors)

Combat Style: Beserker (aka Dual Wield)

Level Range: 10-500, levels with player

Perks: A few, aimed at improving her one-handed weapon dual wielding fighting preference

Shouts: Disarm (because she's a professional soldier and can disarm weaker opponents)

Installation:

Use your preferred mod manager or drag and drop the contents of the zip file into your data folder. Place Farah in the same place in your load order as other followers, above any follower management mods.

FAQ:

Q. Why doesn't she have a custom mesh/skin?

A. Because I wanted her to be available to everyone, not just to people who share my preferences for body shapes and skin textures.

Q. Why is the right side of her face distorted?

A. I traced along the scar pattern to give it some depth so it stands out more, and for realism.

Q. Is "Shaihalud" a reference to Dune?

A. Yes. 

Q. You know you spelled "Shaihalud" wrong?

A. Yes, but I don't really care. Also, to avoid any potential copyright issues, I'm keeping it that way.

Q. You know "Ibn" means "son of", right?

A. Yes, but I like the sound of "Ibn" more and I'm using it in a more modern way much like English surnames Johnson or Wilson.

Q. Can you release her Racemenu preset?
