This mod reworks skill books so that instead of granting levels instantly, they give you a permanent boost to your leveling speed in the respective skill. This means that you benefit more by reading them as soon as you find them.

Each book grants 3% bonus experience, or 6% with the Scholar's Insight buff from Black Book: The Winds of Change. The vanilla game contains 5 books for each skill, and the mod Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library adds a 6th book for each skill. The cumulative bonuses are shown in the table below.

In the best case scenario, these bonuses are roughly equivalent to what you would gain by saving all your books until the end.

Warning when installing on existing saves! You might have to drop your books and pick them up again for the scripts to register.
